Although summer is almost halfway over, there are still many exciting, outdoor activities taking place in Kansas City for our residents who live in the area! See below for a few of these events.

Food Truck Fest – Food Truck Fest begins on August 10 and ends August 11 this year in downtown Kansas City! Doors open at 4:00 p.m. and stay open until 12:00 a.m. The event will feature food and entertainment as well as special guests: The M80s!

29th Annual Roots Festival – The Roots Festival is a two day festival from August 23 to August 24 featuring barbecue, blues, jazz, rock ‘n roll, and country music! The festival will take place in Miami County and will include music, dancing, rides, games and the East Central State BBQ Championship Cook-off! Tickets start at $15 for adults, with free entry for children under 10.

Ethnic Enrichment Festival 2019 – The Ethnic Enrichment Festival features over 60 different cultures’ food, music, dance and craft. The festival will take place August 16 to August 18 in Swope Park. Tickets cost $5, with free entry for children 12 and under.
