Ashton Village’s Annual Wellness Fair 2019

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Last month, Ashton Village, a Fairway Management family community located in Pevely, Missouri, hosted its second annual wellness fair.

In 2018, Ashton Village began a tradition of hosting a free wellness fair for all residents, families and friends. The fair brings together vendors from all around Jefferson County to raise awareness for a variety of health services residents might not be aware that they have access to. Mobile health services were also at the fair and were available for residents and guests to utilize. Many of the services spotlighted at the event are free, allowing all residents to benefit.

Lexi Roemer, Fairway Management event coordinator, has organized Ashton Village’s wellness fair for the past two years. “I coordinated this fair because the residents at Ashton Village really have no idea how many free health resources there are in our community and how they can utilize these resources to sustain their independence,” Lexi said.

Not only did attendance increase at this year’s wellness fair, but twice as many vendors attended the fair as well. Vendors including the Pevely Police Department, Comprehensive Health Management, Jefferson County Drug Prevention, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and Senior Smiles to Go all attended. Residents learn about many free health services and programs and many prizes were raffled off to guests.
