The monthly new hire orientation took place in the beginning of August in Columbia, Missouri. Please welcome our new employees to the JES Holdings family of companies!
EDWARD ALTMAN
Project Superintendent – Fairway Construction
Edward joined the FWC team in August as a Project Superintendent. He is responsible for managing all sub-contractor activities on the job site, including scheduling and quality control. He also ensures that all project inspections are completed. Edward graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Technology and Business. He enjoys being with family, skydiving and scuba diving.
MANDI CHANCELLOR
Director of Business Development – Affordable Equity Partners
Mandi accepted the role of Director of Business Development in July. In this new position, she is responsible for seeking out new investors and creating new sources of tax credit revenue for the company. Previously, Mandi served as the COO for Chandler Hill Vineyards and was a Partner with J. Buck’s Restaurants. Mandi holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Missouri State.
KAYLA BAKER
Property Manager – Bethel Ridge Estates
Kayla joined the FWM family in May. As the Property Manager for Bethel Ridge Estates, she is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and budget of her property, collecting rent and processing new applications. Prior to working with us, she was the Store Manager for a Barnes & Noble. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys hiking, camping and listening to live music.
NICOLE BUNTE
Strategic Communications Coordinator – JES Holdings
Nicole started with JES as an intern in May of 2016. She joined JES as a full-time employee after her graduation from Mizzou and took up the role of Strategic Communications Coordinator. In this new role, Nicole is responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies and campaigns for JES and its affiliate companies. She specializes in creative writing, content creation and website management.
EDITH KELLEY
Executive Assistant – JES Holdings
Edith joined the JES family in August. Her role as Executive Assistant involves providing administrative support to JES Executives and Department Directors. Prior to this, she assisted in managing a successful family business. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Marketing and Management from Stephens College. Outside of work, Edith enjoys spending time with family at their lake house.
NICKI MURFF
Marketing Project Coordinator – JES Holdings
Nicki has been an intern with JES since January of 2016. She transitioned into her full time role as Marketing Project Coordinator in July and now serves as the primary marketing liaison for various JES projects. She is currently in Kansas City assisting with Capital Health Management’s new memory care facility, Cross Creek at Lee’s Summit. Nicki recently graduated from Mizzou with a Bachelor of Journalism in Strategic Communication.
BO MUSSELWHITE
Leasing Specialist – Affordable Equity Partners
Bo joined the AEP Leasing Team in May, and as one of their Leasing Specialists, he is responsible for marketing the property to the community, as well as, finding qualified potential residents. Previously, he worked for the City of Americus, Georgia as a marketing intern. Bo is currently studying marketing at Georgia Southwestern State University. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, exercising and being outdoors
JACOB RENIE
Marketing Coordinator – JES Holdings
Jacob transitioned from Marketing Intern to Marketing Coordinator after graduating from Mizzou in May. He holds a Bachelor of Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communication. In his current position, he is responsible for coordinating digital strategy and planning, design marketing, promotional materials and vendor relations. Outside of work, he enjoys working out and trying new recipes to cook.
DEMARKUS SMILEY
Leasing Specialist – Affordable Equity Partners
DeMarkus joined the Leasing Team full time in May. He also works as a liaison in his community to market the property and find qualified potential residents. He is currently studying towards a Bachelor degree in Secondary Education with a minor in Marketing at Albany State University. He enjoys singing and musical theater in his spare time.
AARON SNIPES
Transaction Analyst – Affordable Equity Partners
Aaron joined the AEP team in August after graduating from the University of Missouri School of Law. As a Transaction Analyst, Aaron is responsible for assisting with purchasing and selling of investment properties as well as preparation and analysis of financial data. Previously, Aaron worked with The Kroenke Group in legal transactions and commercial real estate. He enjoys working out and traveling.
TIM STANLEY
Project Manager – Fairway Construction
Tim joined the FWC team in August as the Project Manager for JES | Prime Senior Living’s new venture in Gainesville, Florida. Before FWC, Tim served as the vice president of a commercial construction company. He also has several years of experience as a project manager for various developments. He is a graduate of the University of Florida and enjoys boating, golfing and being with family in his free time.
SAM STEELMAN
Transaction Analyst – Affordable Equity Partners
Sam joined the AEP team as a Transactions Intern in 2015. Since graduating from the University of Missouri School of Law, he joined full time as a Transaction Analyst. In this role, he assists the closing department with purchasing and selling investment properties and prepares and analyzes financial data that assists management with making economical business decisions.
SIERRA STILL
Asset Manager – Affordable Equity Partners
Sierra was hired as an Asset Manager in July. In this role, she manages and oversees the property performance of real estate assets throughout Missouri. Sierra is a graduate of University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Prior to joining AEP, she worked in investment sales for multifamily and commercial real estate in the Midwest. Sierra enjoys working out, traveling and cooking.
CARLEY WELLS
HR Coordinator – JES Holdings
Carley has been an intern with JES since January of 2016 and joined full time as an HR Coordinator in June. In this position, Carley works to recruit candidates, manage HR analytics, employee relations and various HR projects. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and being with family.
