Employee Testimonial: Tom Partin

Tom Partin, Senior Project Manager for Fairway Construction, has been in the construction business for many years. Over the course of his career, he has worked with several notable construction companies, joining Fairway Construction in 2013.

Partin believes Fairway Construction’s level of involvement helps aid to its success. “One of the things that is unique about our construction company versus other companies is that we are very involved – our owner is very involved. We meet once a month and bring in all of our employees for a meeting. Guys that have worked for us for 20 or 30 plus years attend, and having all of that experience in one room is very beneficial.”

Fairway Construction, a JES Holdings affiliate company, builds affordable and market rate properties that are vertically integrated with its partners. Affordable Equity Partners and Fairway Management employees collaborate with Fairway Construction on many properties to provide development, marketing, leasing and management services.

“My favorite part about being vertically integrated is being able to talk to all aspects of the team. We work closely with the teams and are involved with projects ahead of time so we are solving problems up front versus waiting until we start construction, which saves time and is a huge benefit to our sector,” Partin explains.

Partin gets much of his passion for Fairway Construction from his coworkers. “The greatest thing about our company is our culture. The family-like environment we have exceeds what other companies would normally have. We’re a very close knit group, and having that energy and personal support in addition to the required support you would have in a normal work environment keeps people happy,” Partin said.

Overall, Partin believes that Fairway Construction’s business strategy combined with amazing employees is what leads to its success.
