Spring Craft: Paper Plate Rainbow
With spring around the corner, it is the perfect time for a colorful craft that will brighten everyone’s day! This paper plate rainbow is super easy and creates a limited mess, plus you only need a few household arts and crafts materials.
Below are the directions from Art Crafty Kids, but feel free to put your own spin on it and let your imagination run wild!
Materials:
- Paper plate
- Paint (red/yellow/blue as a minimum)
- Cotton wool
- Glue
- Scissors
Instructions:
- Cut the paper plate in half and then cut a small semi-circle from the center of the paper plate to create a rainbow shape.
- Follow the curve of the paper plate (starting at the outside edge and moving inward) and add red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple paint to form a rainbow.
- Wait for the paint to be fully dry. Once the paint has dried, separate the cotton wool to form fluffy balls and glue them to the bottom of each other—these will form the clouds.
Ta-da! Your craft is finished. Enjoy and happy crafting!
